Building Community through Circus Arts!
Encourage - Inspire - Grow
Our Mission
Citrus Circus Center is excited to bring you recreational circus classes with local circus professionals. Our mission is to build community, strength, and skill together, all while having fun in a safe, encouraging, and creative environment.
We love both the arts and athletics, and what better way to merge the two than with a creative, physical hobby?
Whether you love both, too, or just one or the other, there are classes and circus skills to suit your wants and needs!
We welcome all ages, sizes, and athletic backgrounds. We will help you grow in both physical and mental dexterity through aerial arts, acrobatics, and prop manipulations. We take pride in adapting our classes to your appropriate skill and fitness level, so that no matter what circus discipline you choose, you will be able to find success!
YOU HAVE FOUND COMMUNITY.

Emily Beach
Hula Hoops
Emily has been hula hooping for almost ten years! Over a decade ago, she saw some fire hoopers at a small festival in the mountains and was in complete awe of this beautiful form of art. Shortly after, she learned how to make her own hula hoop and started watching tutorials, and the rest is history! What she enjoys the most about hooping is the sense of calm that you feel when you get into the flow. Suddenly, all your worries vanish and you feel happy and free!
Jen Hasnauer
Aerial Hammock
Jen began her aerial journey in 2018 after getting married and looking for something fun to do for exercise. She started with aerial silks and aerial hammock/ sling with Ms Brittany and hasn't looked back. Her dance background assists in bringing grace and fluidity to her classes, trainging, and teaching style. Outside of circus, Jen is married with a rambuncous son and three even more rambuncous dogs.
Sophie Ludlam
Youth Circus, Cyr Wheel
Sophie was born in Denver, Colorado. She studied gymnastics, cheerleading, and aerial for 7+ years in her youth, but then took a break to go to college in California, where she studied Anthropology and Geography. After moving to Florida, she decided to re-prioritize her fitness and come back to circus. She especially enjoys circus disciplines in lyra, acro, cyr wheel, and tumbling/handstands.
Juls Chambers
Aerial: Tri-Fly Hammock, Trapeze, Lyra
Juls started her aerial journey in 2009. In 2015, she took a 7 year break from aerial due to hip surgery (having nothing to do with aerial!), but then came back again in 2022. Her current favorite apparatus is the trapeze. Juls is an active member of her church, and a proud supporter of our military. Semper Fi!
Before finding aerial, Juls had no dance or gymnastics background at all, though she has played sports her whole life. Juls was born in 1970, but is still an absolute aerial powerhouse-- proving that you are never too old and it is never too late to start circus!
Ana Cojocaru
Aerial: Straps, Lyra
Ana has always been drawn to movement, having danced samba for seven years and practicing yoga regularly. In early 2017, Ana discovered aerial acrobatics and has never looked back, beginning with aerial silks and eventually focusing on lyra and aerial straps. Ana started performing in New York City in 2019 and transitioned to coaching, teaching aerial straps at an aerial retreat in Puerto Escondido, Mexico in 2021, and then in Bucharest, Romania in 2022.
As an NASM Certified Personal Trainer since April 2022 and having completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at the Nosara Yoga Institute in January 2016, Ana brings a holistic approach to aerial fitness. Her classes emphasize technique and strength, helping students develop aerial skills with grace. Ana is dedicated to creating a secure and motivating space for all backgrounds and fitness levels
David Louden
Handbalancing, Juggling, Aerial Straps, Clowning
David was born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida. He then attended Florida State University, where he was part of their circus program, The Flying High Circus, for two years. There, he performed handbalancing, group juggling, and ensamble. He has performed both on campus, as well and their travelling show to Callaway Gardens, Georgia. He also works with the Citrus Circus professional troupe.
Marissa Hentschel
Handstands, Kids Tumbling and Acrobatics
Marissa is a former level 10 gymnast & cheerleader. She has been coaching gymnastics, cheerleading and fitness classes for over 20 years. Marissa grew up in NY and went to college at the University of Louisville & Hawaii Pacific University where she won several national & world cheerleading championships. After college Marissa ended up in San Diego where she went on to teach yoga. During that time Marissa also fell in love with aerial arts and began teaching handstand classes at her local circus school. She has lead several of her signature "flight school" workshops at studios across the country where she teaches her students (of all ages) the proper techniques of going upside down.
Kristina Cedrone
Adult Tumbling and Acrobatics
Kristina started gymnastics as a toddler, and continued through Level 6. In high school, she switched gears and joined her school's competition cheerleading squad, making it to Nationals all four years. In recent years, she has put her gymnastics background to good use while pursuing aerial and circus arts for the past three years. She excells in all things aerial and acrobatics- reaching high skill levels in lyra, hammock, and silks, as well and training handstands and partner acrobatics.
Terri Davenport
Aerial Silks
Terri started silks in her 40s with no athletic, dance, or gymnastics experience. However with proper instruction and self motivation she became interested in sharing her passion because silks is a beautiful art form that can make you mentally and physically stronger and is her anti-aging secret! Along with being a certified Aerial Physique Silks Level 1 teacher and cheerleader for her students, she is also a proud wife to a retired Battalion Chief, proud mom to a 3rd generation firefighter, and a retired Registered Dietitian of 25 years.
